Privacy

Your documents never leave your phone.

Patient data belongs in the practice, not in a cloud. So we built FastDoc QES in a way that we cannot see anything at all.

No account
Install the app and sign. No sign-up, no email address, no password.
No servers of our own
Opening, signing and saving happen on the device. There is no FastDoc server a document could go to.
No tracking
No analytics, no advertising IDs, no usage statistics. We don’t know what you sign, or when.
Nothing stored by us
PIN, CAN and drawn signature stay encrypted on your phone. Signed PDFs go to your folder, nowhere else.
The only connection: a certificate check with your card’s issuer
Before every signature the app asks the eHBA issuer’s validation service (OCSP) whether your certificate is still valid. Only certificate details are sent, never the document. The response is embedded in the signature so it can be verified at any time later.

Applies to signing PDFs on your phone. The upcoming practice integration additionally uses a sign-in and will be described separately.

FAQ

Frequently asked

Which card do I need?
An electronic health professional card (eHBA) generation G2.1 with NFC and an active PIN.QES. If you only have the transport PIN from your PIN letter, the app walks you through setting your own PIN the first time you sign.
Which phones are supported?
iPhone and Android smartphones with NFC. You hold the card to the back of the phone; no card reader is needed.
Is the signature legally valid?
Yes. FastDoc QES uses the qualified certificate on your eHBA to create a qualified electronic signature (QES) in PAdES format. Under the eIDAS Regulation (Art. 25(2)) it has the same legal effect as a handwritten signature.
What happens to my documents?
Nothing outside your phone. The PDF is opened on the device, signed on the device and saved to the folder you choose. We run no servers for this and never see your documents.
Which connections does the app make?
Before every signature the app asks the issuer of your eHBA whether your certificate is still valid (OCSP). Only certificate details are sent, never the document. If the certificate is revoked or the service is unreachable, nothing is signed. Subscription purchases are handled by Apple or Google.
Do I need a TI connector?
No. FastDoc QES is a signing app, not a card terminal. e-prescriptions, eAU and KIM continue to run through your connector.
What is the CAN?
The six digits at the top right of your card. They secure the wireless link between card and phone. The app asks for them once and stores them encrypted on the device.

Your next signature takes seconds.
